As you might have already guessed my name is Mark and I live in Paarl South Africa. I grew up in Durban, hence the Shark’s supporter statement at the top of my blog and I am setting up this blog to stay in contact with my family and friends from South Africa, England and in many other countries around the world. Hopefully people will take the time to view this site and stay in contact through the use of the comments section on the blog.

As most of my friends know, I am a keen chef (cook might be a more appropriate term!) but having started out in the hospitality industry and having had my own restaurant, it still remains my first love and I get the opportunity to practice those skills through visiting my good friend’s establishment in McGregor, South Africa, the Jack and Grape restaurant in the Lady McGregor Hotel.

I plan on adding some of my favourite recipes to this site for friends and family to try and look forward to your comments and recipes for me to try.

I will try and upload recent photos that might be of interest and again look forward to any comments.
